MeetOpt Usage/Version Notes:

This is a beta version, so there is little, if any, error checking for entered data. We assume both teams have enough athletes to field a full team under the standard participation limits.

The focus is on swimming event decisions due the event assignment options and relays, so diving events are excluded from the analysis.

The site is not optimized for small screens.

Predicted performance times can be entered as total seconds (e.g., 72.5) or mm:ss.s format (e.g., 1:12.5).

Files must be saved as CSV files text files (can be opened and edited in a spreadsheet, but be careful when saving to select CSV as file type).

Swimmer names (or IDs) must be unique.

Swimmers without a time in the event should be left blank (an entry, even a space, will throw an error).

For simulations, times are only needed for events in which the athletes are assigned in the provided lineups.

If using the simulation using 3 performance files, the predicted swim times for each swimmer in an event must be such that Best < Most Likely < Worst.

Currently, simulating 50 meets. After the simulation is completed the chart showing the output will appear.

For generating improved lineups, it is better to provide as performance estimates for swimmers in as many events as possible.

In the absence of a provided time, a max time in the event is assigned (i.e., almost surely the swimmer will not score if assigned to the event).

The events are currently fixed to: 200Y Free, 50Y Free, 100Y Free, 100Y Fly, 100Y Back, 200Y Back, 500Y Free, 200Y IM, 100Y Breast, 200Y Fly, 200Y Breast,

1650Y Free, 200Y Medley Relay, 200Y Free Relay.

Predicted performance times should be provided for relay legs. These account for starting leg differences in the free relay and stroke leg differences

in the medley relays. See the sample file headers for how to provide relay leg predicted performances.

Event Labels must match those in sample files exactly. They are currently:

Scoring is currently fixed to a limit of 4 events per swimmer (max 3 individual) and individual events ([9, 4, 3, 2, 1]) and relay events ([11, 4, 2]).

Max of 3 scoring swimmers in an individual event and max of two in relay events.
